Me, JACK, and JESUS

June 24, 2009 · 3 Comments

One week from today JACKSON SANDERS WILLIS will be here with us. My wife Renie has what is known as a Factor 5 Blood Clotting Disorder. We discovered this 6 years ago right after we were married. Due to the medicine she is currently taking through injections the doctor will be inducing labor next Wednesday around 5:30am (this is no emergency…this has been planned since day 1 of the pregnancy). Our Doctor informed us that by lunch time we should have our little boy in our arms. Renie is doing great and the clotting disorder has not caused any problems to date…please continue to pray for that as we approach the big day.

I cannot tell you how much I have learned already and JACK is not even with us yet. I have learned some stuff I never wish I would have learned in my life (yes…I went with my wife to a breast feeding class) and other truths that will forever be branded in my heart. I will give you one.

I cannot explain to you how much I truly love & care for JACK. I would do anything for him…no matter the cost. I really…really would. And here is the interesting fact in all of that: he doesn’t even know me yet and has done nothing what so ever to earn any type of love from me and yet I LOVE HIM with everything in me and would lay down my life for the little guy.

Sound familiar? –thanks Jesus!

When they place that boy in your arms nothing will ever be the same again…in a good way. Y’all have some great blessings ahead of you!
