Weekend Review

  • I played my new/old Nintendo games that I legally downloaded for my Nintendo Wii. My thumbs are sore…it is awesome to play the games that I played back in the day when i was in elementary school. For example: Excitebike, Tecmo Bowl, Punch-Out, and Super Mario Brothers
  • Man Treat (the adult men of midtown had an in town man retreat)
  • Wild Wings with some guys from my Life Group
  • Bowling 3 games in a smoke filled bowling alley in Lexington
  • Cheese Sticks from the bowling alley (appetizing) … I think the cheese was actually plastic
  • Saturday Morning Paintball
  • I shot the best player from the other team in the head with 7 seconds in the last game of the day. It was a very rewarding feeling…no lie, especially since I’m not that good.
  • Running with NO gun, dodging paintballs, diving at the base of a crashed plane, grabbing the flag and running back to our base with it. And I ended up with a bloody knee…good stuff.
  • Seriously, there might not be anything better than getting to play G.I. Joe’s at the age of 28…but you get to be G.I. Joe.
  • Tonight at the Gathering we did something very different.
  • We had worship in the auditorium and then people went out into another room where we had numerous worship stations set up. IT was different but AWESOME.
  • One station was a room that was white with black lights and people wrote their prayers on the wall in highlighters. The glow of the prayers was cool to see. it was also incredible to see 5 different languages written on the wall. Just thought about this…God understands them all. Sounds dumb and simple, but WOW! He here’s the prayers of His people no matter what.
  • One station was one canvas that everyone painted on…AMAZING. Maybe I can get a picture of it and post it here in the near future.
  • Lastly, PRAY TOMORROW @ 9:30am. Lee and I have a meeting about some future space for Midtown. THIS IS HUGE. If God wants us to have this space…pray that we will make it clear…if NOT pray He will make it obvious and that we will run
