Not Your Normal Staff (YouTube Wed.)

Wednesday for a while is going to serve as YouTube day. Some videos will be ones we have done here at Midtown and other interesting things I come across. Well todays YouTube video is brought to you by the Staff here at Midtown. You have to understand we are Not Your Normal Staff. One thing that we do annually is have a night completely dedicated to appreciating our volunteers in every way possible. (this an interesting thing in that some of our staff are completely volunteer…so I am not sure how that all works out….in other words we have in awesome incredibly sacrificial staff…I love these guys like crazy)

Well at our Volunteer Appreciation Night (which was completely 80’s themed…you gotta love big hair and parachute pants) We themed the entire room to look like an 80’s prom…served dinner…had a thank you video from people from the church…VAN Awards…I do a 10 minute vision piece…2 of our staff did their own original rap video…the staff performed…then the dance party. (very…very over the top in a good way)

If you are a pastor or on a church staff or any type of leader that works with volunteers….YOU MUST GO OUT OF YOUR WAY and GO BEYOND THE NORM to appreciate those who sacrificially put in hours to help push your mission forward in your city. Thank you notes are sweet, but more is necessary. Below you will see our staff do our version of the Michael Jackson “Thriller” Dance. Enjoy & feel free to comment away…you cannot hurt my feelings.
